Sales Policy
With the purchase of rabbit(s) from BMR's Signature Rabbitry, you are agreeing to our terms and the following policy:
- We have the right to refuse any sale, at any time, for any reason.
- In order to hold a rabbit, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required to be paid ASAP. We cannot guarantee you a rabbit without the deposit. The purchaser has 7 days to pick the rabbit up from an agreed location. Any holds requiring longer than 7 days is based off of a case-by-case basis and can be terminated if the purchaser refuses to pick up the animal. If purchaser fails to pick up within 7 days and also fails to be in contact with us, we have the right to relist the rabbit and sell it. A refund will NOT be given.
- If the purchaser requires transport, it is up to them to schedule and pay the transporter.
- We will NOT release any rabbit without payment paid in full. If picking up from us directly, we only accept Cash as payment. If you are paying online, we only accept PayPal (the payment must be paid as friends and family only) or Venmo.
- If the buyer decides to cancel the sale, the deposit or if paid in full, will not be refunded and we will list the rabbit for sale.
- Accepting the rabbit confirms you agree that it is in a healthy condition and of good temperament. We will not be held accountable for your rabbits health once it leaves our care due to stress on the animals and the differences on how people offer care.
- “Show Prospects” mean that the rabbit is free of any disqualifications in regards to the A.R.B.A. Standard of Perfections for the breed. It does not guarantee that your rabbit will win or place at a show. All “Brood” rabbits are sold for breeding purposes. “Pet” rabbits may be sold due to disqualifications or does not fit within the Brood or Show Prospect categories.
- Show or Brood rabbits sold will be supplied with their pedigree and transitioning food. A care sheet can be provided per request.
- Pet rabbits will be sold with only a birth certificate, if requested. These animals should not be bred! They will come with transitioning food and a care sheet.
- If a rabbit sold as Show Quality develops a disqualification but was free of those disqualifications upon purchase, we are not responsible nor will we refund or switch the rabbit out for another.
- If, for any reason, the purchaser cannot care of the rabbit, we will always take the animal back but no refund will be given. If the rabbit is to be resold by the purchaser, we request that you give us first right of refusal as a courtesy.
- We will not sell any rabbit under 8 weeks of age. Any request will end in our right of refusal of selling any rabbit to you.
- Shipping (airline) is available at the buyer's expense and they must set up the whole process. This includes purchasing the carriers required for shipment, having the carriers shipped to us, purchase of water and food containers, tickets, fuel reimbursement to take the rabbit(s) to the airport, etc. The only airline we ship from is the Corning-Elmira Regional Airport.
- In regards to having rabbits shipped via transporter or airline, we are no longer responsible for the rabbit(s) as soon as they leave our care.
- Sex of the rabbit(s) are guaranteed.
- We can transport any SOLD rabbits to any shows we attend upon request.
- All rabbits are sold on a First come, First served basis. We will not hold rabbits without a deposit.
- Our rabbitry prefix, BMR's, MUST remain on the rabbit's pedigree and it's pedigree information shall NOT be altered.
- We will happily answer any and all of your questions however it is suggested that you do some research before committing to purchase any rabbit from us.
- We do NOT sell Easter bunnies or any rabbit purchased as a holiday gift. Rabbits are a lifetime commitment and should not be purchased on a whim. We highly suggest the inquiry to do lots of research.
- Due to the rise of adult open breeders trying to disguise themselves as youth breeders, we will no longer be offering 4-H and youth discounts.
- If under the age of 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian contact us on your behalf.
- If you cancel your purchase last minute, you will be listed on our Do Not Sell List and we will not do any future business with you, unless there was an emergency.
- If meeting at a location, I will only wait a maximum of 15 minutes. If the buyer does not contact me due to a delay, I will leave. After two failed pick ups, I will list the buyer on my DNS List and they will not be allowed to purchase from us again in the future.
- If someone is caught trying to purchase for someone listed on our DNS List, they too will be listed on there as well and denied any future transactions.
- Our Sales Policy is listed publicly on our website and Facebook page. If a buyer fails to read it prior to purchasing or contacting us, that is not our responsibility nor fault.
- Types of payments accepted: PayPal (friends & family only), Venmo and Cash.
- I won't deliver an animal, period. (Unless to a show we are attending).
Convention Sales
If you are planning on purchasing rabbits from us with transport to A.R.B.A. Convention, all sales are final and payments are required in FULL. We will no longer allow 50% nonrefundable deposits due to some issues with having to chase people last minute to pay for their animals so they can make it onto transport. From us to Convention, we only use one transporter. Buyers are responsible for paying that transporter in a timely fashion and entering their rabbits into Convention if the rabbits must be held. If the buyer fails to pay the transporter to get a hole for your rabbit, we will not refund you. Once rabbits are paid for in full, we will send you an email with their pedigree attached. If you purchase a rabbit that is registered, we will need an mailing address so we can send you the registration.
