Transport Policy
*PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE ENTIRE POLICY.
Thank you for choosing BMR's Signature Rabbitry to transport your rabbit. Your rabbit(s) will remain under our care throughout the duration of the trip with us. Our main concern is to provide a low stress environment and comfort. Each rabbit will be given a clean, sanitized space with access to hay and water constantly. Eating hay during transport allows a way to relieve stress. All rabbits are checked during each stop, water and hay will be refilled during these stops. Feed is limited during transport to help prevent upset stomachs due to the stress. Carriers are cleaned daily.
Communication is key. In order to track progress, we prefer to use Facebook Messenger and will get back to everyone in a timely manner however, if you do not have Facebook, we can communicate through text messaging but please limit the amounts of text messages. After pick up or drop off at a location, I will send an estimated time of arrival when you can expect me at the next stop. Owners will be notified when I do stop for a bite to eat or gassing up the vehicle.
When picking up from a breeder, I will inspect the rabbit for any visual health issues; eyes, nose, butt, ears, etc. Any signs of an health issue or does not appear to be healthy, I WILL NOT TRANSPORT THE RABBIT. I will message the buyer right away if this is the case to inform them what is going on. I will try to check the ear number and gender of the rabbit but it is not always guaranteed. I do depend on the breeder to make sure the rabbit is healthy and the correct animal for transport. All carriers will already be tagged with the rabbit's info including Breeder, Buyer, Sex, Breed, Ear #, location of pick up and drop off (city and state), and the number of rabbits purchased. I can deliver pedigrees with the rabbit if needed, if so, buyer please remind me I have your pedigree. Breeders, please put the pedigrees in a sealed envelope with the Buyer's Name, Ear # and Breed on the cover of the envelope. Breeder's, please include a 2 week supply of rabbit food in a plastic container (can be purchased from the Dollar Tree) as well as the rabbit's information written on the lid (Buyer, Breed, Sex and Brand of feed). If you cannot provide a container, please let me know you I can provide one at your expense.
If the breeder cancels the sale, does not meet at the drop off location for any given reason or if the rabbit is unhealthy, they are responsible to refund the transport fees to the buyer.
Transport is very unpredictable due to traffic, weather conditions, etc so we can only give a window of what time to expect us until the day we arrive, then we can give an estimated time frame. We highly suggest you make yourself available for the entire day that we are expected to arrive.
We only meet at stops along the highway, ex: gas stations. I will try to get as close as possible however, you may be asked to meet up to two hours away. We may be able to deliver to your house, depending how far it is from the highway for an extra fee.
We try to schedule multiple pick ups and drop offs at one stop to avoid rabbits being moved around more than needed.
We require the transport fee paid up front. We will not transport without a fee. If any of the above statements does not work for you, please do not hire us for transport. You are purchasing a service that we may not be able to know exactly when and where we are meeting until we are closer to the date of the run.
There is absolutely NO REFUNDS.
Buyers
When you receive your rabbit(s), you are responsible for inspecting that you received the correct animal, feed and pedigree. You are also responsible for checking the gender and overall health of your animal. Once you accept the animal, you are confirming the animal is correct and the overall health is acceptable. IF there is any issues, please address the matter directly during drop off. Please do not wait until you get home or weeks from the drop off day to message me or the breeder regarding any issues. We are not responsible if you do not receive the right pedigree or rabbit supplied to us from the breeder.
We are NOT responsible if your rabbit falls ill or dies during or after the delivery. If your rabbit falls ill, I will do all I can do to help the rabbit after speaking to you first. Money for transport fees or for the rabbit will NOT be refunded if it is to pass.
We provide the best care possible to all rabbits in my care as if they were my own. However, transport can still be a very stressful experience and not all recover from it. I can guaranty your rabbit will be fed, watered and have a clean cage.
We will NOT refund transport fees. If we cannot pick your rabbit up or need to reschedule the run for any reason, fees will not be refunded. We will try to get your rabbits to you ASAP.
We expect both the breeder and the buyer to stay in constant contact with me. If you pay for the transport and never contact me to work out pick up/drop off and your rabbit does not get picked up since you never contacted me other than the initial contact and payment, I will not refund your money. Please make sure you contact me if I have not messaged you to coordinate transport.
I reserve the right to reschedule or postpone a run for any reason!
If a breeder or a buyer cannot meet me at the location given to them for any reason, I will NOT refund. However your paid transport may be applied a future run.
If you do not agree with my transport agreement, please do not pay me to transport your rabbit(s).
Transport fees are required to be PAID IN FULL.
Transport fees are $30 per rabbit. If it takes additional runs to get your rabbit(s) to you, it's $20 per additional run. If I have to hold rabbits until the next run is made, it is an additional fee of $5 per week for care and housing.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding my transport policies, please contact me. If there is no contact with any concerns, I will consider that you are agreeing with everything mentioned above.
Please be on time at the meeting location. I will only wait up to 15 minutes then I will move onto my next stop and I will not refund your money. If I am running late, I will notify you in advance. I will NOT back track! If you miss your pick up or drop off, you will either have to meet me within the time frame at the next drop off location or wait for my next run, which you will then be responsible for addition run fee and housing fee. Or you can even schedule another transporter to meet me at one of my locations to transport back to you.
Fees are to be paid via PayPal. All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and you are agreeing to all fees and policies. Payment is to be paid via PayPal as Friends & Family. If you do not select that option, you will be required to pay an additional fee as Friends & Family to cover PayPal fees.
After payment, the buyer will be prompted to send information for pick up/drop off, Breeder, Rabbit's information (breed, sex, gender, and ear #), phone number, etc.
